All my senses (Age 9)

Have you heard the sound of the blackbird?
He makes it sound so pretty.
Have you seen the great big city
With all its tiny world?
Have you ever smelt the smell of bacon in the pan?
Have you ever touched the cool refreshing sand?
And have you ever tasted the clear blue water
That comes from taps?
The world is lovely with all your senses.
You can love the world like it loves you.

Black and blue (Age 12)

I sit alone, tired, on my bed
A million and one questions buzz through my head.
Why do they continue to torture me?
I'm like them, can they not see?

So what if i'm black and they are white?
What difference does it make, i know i'm right.
I can't go outside without breaking a rule
In fact i think i'm going to end it all.

In heaven will God let me in?
Is god even there to help those who sin?
is God white or is he black?
If I go to Heaven, I'll never come back.

I have no friends, no body to care
Even if i'm hungry, homeless and bare.
So, I'm an outcast, sad but true.
Sitting in my room, black and blue.

Noises (Age 9)

Noises, noises everywhere.
Wherever you go they're always there.
The drill noises are very high,
180 decibels can make rats die!
Some noises are good, some noises are bad.
So just be glad that noises are there
Whenever you're sad.

Noises, noises everywhere.
From a dog to a great big bear.
Noises, noises everywhere.
They're always, always, always there.
